Good morning! Hey, guess what I’ve had this morning? My weight in coffee! BOOL-YEAH!!!!! And I have plans…BIG plans. Today I’m taking my chicken to Rural King! Yes, this is National Take Your Chicken to the Feed Store Day.
Look, I know this sounds kinda crazy even for me, but it MUST be so! You see, yesterday when I went to fetch food for my poultry army so they wouldn’t break through the window screens and peck me to death in my sleep, I tripped across a display.(No, I mean I LITERALLY tripped. But I digress…)
There before my very eyes was a marvelous new feed at an amazing low price…and a pan of samples! They had a PAN OF FREE SAMPLES of CHICKEN FEED!
Now, I may be a bit odd, but even I don’t taste test the feed for my birds. (And I know no one who does. Thankfully!) So the pan must have been there for the birds to taste test. Ergo, they must be encouraging people to bring their birds in, just like they do with doggies!
So today, I’m gonna figure out how to get Mr. Fuzzy to walk on a leash (please stop laughing, I’m being totally serious!) and take him to Rural King to test this awesome new feed and see if it appeals to his delicate palate.
I’m just hoping they’ve got LOTS of paper towels in case it doesn’t go well with his sensitive digestive system. But then again, I suppose that would serve them right for offering samples of *sub-par feed…
And just because it’s one of THOSE days and my twisted sense of “funny” demands I do these things, I’ll leave you illin’ folks with this completely WRONG thought in honor of Invisible Illness Awareness Week.
May you day be flare free and your chickens well behaved on leashes!
*Please don't sue me Mr. Chicken Feed guy, I am NOT saying your food is sub-par because, honestly? I've never eaten it. It wsa a JOKE! OK? Thanks and have a great day!
