Trust me, it could have been WAY worse!

Good morning! Well, I went and done it! I joined the WEGO Health National Health Blog Post Month thingy and today…is THAT day! So, in my best defense, what is about to follow is THEIR fault!
Today’s prompt is *insert drum roll here* "My favorite thing about social media / the internet / online health communities…" Since I’ve already told you what drives me BATTY about Social Media, I decided it was only fair to tell you what I dig about it. (Besides, the other choice didn’t “speak” to me and I’ve had this stupid song stuck in my stupid head ever since I opened the stupid prompt list. Thanks WEGO! Just…THANKS!)
My Favorite Media Things (To the tune of Rogers and Hammersteins’s “My Favorite Things” as thoroughly abused by Chris Dean. You’re welcome!)

Meeting new people with so much in common
Learning all the weird ways their bodies can harm ‘em
Laughing or crying whatever the day brings
These are my favorite Media things

Sharing info’mation someone may find helpful
That is exactly what this wonderful tool’s for
Posting stupid pictures of Super Slug with wings
These are my favorite Media things

Early morning texts when someone is in trouble
Giggle-snorts so hard you bend over double
Friends with the same glitches and muscles that zing
These are my favorite Media things

When the flare hits
When anxiety breaks
When I’m feeling sad
I simply can Facebook or Tweet with my friends
Suddenly things ain’t so bad!

To summarize, what I love the most (or the ONLY thing I love) about Social Media is the people…the information sharing, the friendships formed, the help offered and accepted…THAT part ROCKS! (Odd how that works…social media for being social…Huh! What a novel idea.)
PS Ya know, I really do apologize for the “Super Slug with wings” bit. But honestly? My twitchy brain would NOT come up with anything else. Evidently, I subconsciously found it so freakin’ hilarious I just HAD to share it! Hopefully you guys won’t let this slip in judgment affect our friendship.
