More of an "itchy crawl" than an actual "walk"

Good morning! I’m itchy all over and it’s totally your fault!
.
Here I was, trying to do something nice and share some neat stuff with you and what happens? I pause to take a deep, happy breath and let it out in a long sigh of contentment, only to notice I’m standing smack-dab in the middle of a patch of poison ivy.
.
Everywhere I’ve looked the last couple of days, peoples have been posting pictures of their amazing flowers. So, ya know, I figured I’d get in on the fun.
I'm not sure what it is, but it
towers over me and
smell heavenly!
.
The only problem with this scenario is #1 the chickens ate all my flowery-flowers years ago. (Whose stupid idea was it to let the feathery buggers free-range anyway? Eat the bugs? SURE they do! Then for dessert they eat the stinkin’ flowers too.)
.
#2 I’ve always been a wildflower kinda gal anyway. I’ll take honeysuckle, purple thistle, and Queen Anne’s lace over impatients and tulips any day. (Also? Clover and dandelions win over grass, hands down.)
.
So I decided to photograph some of the nifty, hypnotically sweet smelling bloomy things. The only problem was actually getting to them.
.
Thus, the adventure began! (As did the crawling on hands-and-knees through friggin’ poison ivy. ACK!)
.
I started off doing a forwards-limbo move to make it past the Muscovy-guarded gate that Coon-zilla destroyed last week-

-Then there was the duck-and-dodge sideways-move to slide past the remains of the wishing well planter my Grandpa built for my Grandma forever ago.-

- It was darn near a belly-crawl situation to pass under the Mulberry tree-
- and make it to the wild rose-

- surrounded by honeysuckle the entire way.

.
  *sweet happy sigh*
.
I thought I’d circumnavigate the entire chicken yard (the fence to the right of my path) BUT I found myself trapped by thorny things like wild raspberry and blackberry vines-bushes-tendrils-of-death. So back the way I came…hands-and-knees through the itchy weeds.
.
And can I just mention that crawling was not exactly a hands-and-knees affair since one of the hands in question was holding a camera. Oh, and any attempts to duck-walk? Will be met with a hard topple into the fence if you’ve got leg muscles on permanent vacation
.
So I hope y’all are happy! I mean, I’m all itchy, gots one muddy palm, and a dirty boo-tay, owing to the fact that I kinda ricocheted off the fence and…bounced a couple of times. All in the name of sharing. Because *insert happy drum roll here* sharing is caring!
This? It actually about 7 feet
of honeysuckle!

.
PS Speaking of sharing and caring, if y’all wanna get in on the whole Twitter thing and getting #Scleroderma to trend, Karen wrote an awesome little piece today with tips and pointers on how you can go about it. OR, I’ve seen several awesome folks simply adding #Scleroderma to any tweet they…tweet…today. PURE AWESOME-SAUCE!
